Me with my botanical triptych Ehchanted Garden (oil, acrylics, lace, linen fabric, denim, buttons, collage on paper, 29.5 x 9.8 in | 75 x 25 cm)
Calm. Tactile. Deeply rooted. These were the feelings that guided me while creating this triptych. I incorporated delicate denim and linen fabrics taken from high-fashion garments that had remained unworn for fifteen years, giving them a new life through art. The pearl-like and transparent buttons resemble tiny drops of morning dew resting on leaves. At the same time, they remind me of a grandmother’s sewing box filled with treasured odds and ends, the kind of little treasures you could spend hours sorting through as a child. I love reimagining botanical motifs in my work. They seem to reconnect us with nature, restoring a sense of stability and balance and reminding us where we belong.

1)Creating Ehchanted Garden triptych: making a blue background, paper collage, adding fabric and lace elements

2)Creating Ehchanted Garden triptych: Stabilized lace and fabric that I used for the collage. Tining the lace to the desired color and brining the composition together with acrylic paints.
