🌊Lost Atlantis: What Lies Beneath the Surface?

Smiling woman in a white dress outdoors among rocks holds four blue-purple abstract coastal art.

Me with my abstract coastal artwork set LOST ATLANTIS, mixed media on paper, the size of each artwork is 29.5 x 20.7cm | 11.4 x 7.9 in

Lost Atlantis is an abstract quadriptych inspired by the beauty of the underwater world and the way marine life inhabits the remains of sunken ships, transforming them into an organic part of its environment. I imagined these forgotten vessels as entire underwater palaces, where nature creates a truly unique and otherworldly spectacle.

The art process steps of creating LOST ATLANTIS: cutted hand-crochet lace, collage of oil-marbled paper, composing the paintings with acrylic

I used hand-crocheted cotton lace to recreate the intricate structures of the ships, while also suggesting the fantastical forms of corals and other marine organisms. But perhaps these are not the remains of ships at all. Could they be the walls of a lost city from an ancient civilization? Let your imagination decide.
