Underwater Kingdom is a diptych inspired by mysterious underwater grottoes, caves, and coral reefs. I imagined these natural rock formations as vast underwater palaces, creating a hidden kingdom that lives by its own laws and is inhabited by mythical figures such as mermaids and Poseidon. I used hand-crocheted cotton lace to recreate the intricate, organic structures of the underwater rocks, corals, and formations.
