Jungle Collection

The Jungle Collection explores the shifting moods and sensations of the tropical world: from vibrant bursts of color found in lush foliage to the calm, refreshing stillness of an exotic garden. These works balance energy and tranquility, inviting the viewer into a rich, immersive natural space.

Each piece is created using my signature mixed-media technique. I begin by working with fluid oil-based pigments on water, allowing organic patterns to form naturally before transferring them onto fine art paper. Every sheet is unique, shaped by the movement of liquid and chance.

These textured surfaces become the foundation for further development. I build the composition through collage and refine it with hand-painted acrylic details, combining spontaneous natural forms with controlled artistic expression.

I experimented with tropical vegetation in warm sienna and subtle orange tones to evoke a dreamy, misty mood rather than bright, sunny colors.

For this diptych, I challenged myself to transform two intense red backgrounds, a color I once associated with aggression, into a calmer, harmonious balance using gray, raspberry, and light blue tones, inspired by the quiet yet powerful energy of sunset light shimmering across tropical flowers.
