About
Mariia Raskin is an award-winning dreamlike mixed media artist working within the concept of Poetic Nature, based between Turkey and Northern Cyprus.
With a formal academic background, including an MFA in Fashion Design and a diploma in Classical Iconography, she combines technical mastery with an intuitive, exploratory approach to image-making.
She creates richly textured, nature-inspired works using her distinctive oil-on-water technique, where fluid pigments are guided across water and transferred onto paper. Her compositions integrate organic patterns, collage, acrylic detailing, and hand-crafted lace elements.
Her practice merges impressionism and abstraction into poetic, imagined environments shaped by inner perception rather than direct observation. Her works have been exhibited internationally and are held in museum and private collections.

Studio
My creative studio is a cozy, compact space spread across different corners of our home. I paint on canvas in a small bedroom nook with my easel, paint table, and daylight lamp: everything is within arm’s reach. Sketches and paper works happen at my desk in the office, while completed paintings are carefully stored in the living room.
